Throws bullpen sessionRosenthal (groin) threw a bullpen session Thursday and will throw to hitters Sunday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Stellar in Cactus League debutLuzardo fired four scoreless innings in a Cactus League win over the Rangers on Thursday, allowing no hits, two walks and recording five strikeouts.
ImpactThe Athletics have been deliberate about breaking in the members of their starting rotation this spring, so Thursday marked Luzardo's first outing. The final line certainly speaks to the left-hander's dominance, and Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports Luzardo unveiled a new looping 65 mph breaking ball that he recorded a called third strike on. "He's very understanding of what he needs to work on," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "He's worked this spring on throwing two different kinds of breaking balls to try to add a four-pitch mix, so if one isn't working then he still has three pitches."

Sent to minor-league campJung was assigned to minor-league camp Friday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
ImpactThe Rangers don't have many compelling options competing for playing time at third base, with Rougned Odor, Brock Holt and Charlie Culberson among the top candidates. They could have theoretically turned to Jung, who earned rave reviews at the alternate site last season and is expected to debut at some point this year. Sending him down for now makes sense, as he's played in just 44 professional games, none of which have come above the Low-A level, but it may not be too long before he's knocking on the door if he looks good in the minors to start the season.

Starting in left fieldDahl (shoulder) is starting in left field and batting second in Friday's spring game against the White Sox.
ImpactThe 26-year-old has been recovering from a offseason shoulder surgery early in camp and was previously limited to serving as the designated hitter, but he'll play the field Friday. Barring any setback, Dahl will be a full go Opening Day for the Rangers.
