2024 March Madness highlights, scores: Oakland upsets Kentucky, Dayton stuns Nevada

The first round of the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is officially underway!

The highlight of the early window was No. 11 Duquesne upsetting No. 6 BYU. Later, No. 11 Oregon became a second double-digit seed to advance as the Ducks toppled No. 6 South Carolina. Then No. 7 Dayton went on a wild second-half run to knock off No. 10 Nevada in the most thrilling finish of the day so far. 

In the later window, No. 13 Oakland fired off 15 3-pointers to take down No. 3 Kentucky and advance to the second round for the first time in program history, while N.C. State also pulled off an upset of Texas Tech. Kansas got the edge over Samford in a close match to finish out the night.
