Impact Kepnang, who suffered a season-ending leg injury in February, remains inactive to open summer workouts. The 6-foot-11 senior transferred to Kentucky this offseason after spending the last four years with Washington (previously Oregon). Kepnang has dealt with a multitude of significant injuries during his career, and he will look to work his way back to full strength ahead of his seventh college season.

Impact Williams, who was battling a foot injury at the end of the 2025-26 season, continues to recover. The 6-foot-8 sophomore, who made the decision to return to Kentucky after briefly entertaining the transfer portal, averaged six points, 2.1 rebounds and one assist on 18.5 minutes per game with the Wildcats last season (24 games). Williams does not appear to have suffered a setback, but the team is being cautious with his injury at this time.
