Jamichael Stillwell - Elegibility reversed Stillwell has been deemed ineligible for the 2026-27 season after the NCAA won its attempt to stay the preliminary injunction in Georgia, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Stillwell committed to Texas Tech in July and was granted an extra year of eligibility in August, but the decision has been reversed, so his status for the 2026-27 season is now uncertain. Stillwell is expected to be a key player for Texas Tech if he's able to suit up next season, though. Last season at UCF, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 11.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals.

Impact Atwell is taking advantage of recent court rulings granting high school athletes from the class of 2022 another year of eligibility in the wake of the "5-for-5" ruling. Last season, his first year at Texas Tech after beginning his career at North Carolina-Greensboro, he started all 34 games and averaged 13.5 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 45.8 percent from deep on 8.4 attempts per game. His addition to the 2026-27 Red Raiders is a pretty significant development in Lubbock, and he should feasibly slide right back into a starting role.
