College Basketball 2025-2026 Buzz: St. John's Announces Rick Pitino Extension
Christian Anderson - Ends season with seven against Tide Anderson closed Sunday's 90-65 loss to Alabama with seven points (2-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and four steals across 37 minutes.
Impact Anderson was cleared for the NCAA Tournament despite suffering a groin injury in the Big 12 Tournament, but it ended up having no bearing on his minutes total over two games. He scored 18 in the opener, but had a tough shooting day in the Round of 32, getting held to single digits for just the third time this season. He was sound defensively, picking up eight steals over the Red Raiders' brief tournament run. It's now up to coach Grant McCasland to keep Anderson in Lubbock, as the talented point guard will undoubtedly have plenty of suitors heading into his third collegiate season.

LeJuan Watts - Scores 16 in tourney exit Watts provided 16 points (5-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Sunday's 90-65 loss to Alabama.
Impact Despite entering the NCAA Tournament with an injury scare from the Big 12 tournament, Watts put forth a combined 30 points and 13 boards in two rounds of The Big Dance. It was enough to get past Akron, but Texas Tech ultimately couldn't overcome its overall injury woes, as the Red Raiders were ran out of the gym by Alabama. If Watts chooses to stick around for his senior season -- which is no guarantee given he's been to three schools in as many years -- he could see more offensive opportunities, depending on the status of JT Toppin (knee).

Impact Moseley delivered season highs in both scoring (16) and blocks (4) as Texas Tech rolled during their first-round victory. The 6-foot-8 sophomore was nearly perfect from the floor while also adding a steal and four boards with three coming on the offensive end. More than anything else, Moseley's ability on the offensive glass and on the defensive end is exactly what the Red Raiders have been lacking the most since losing JT Toppin for the season and is the type of medicine the team needs if they are to be a legitimate threat throughout the remainder of the tournament.

Impact Petty saved the best performance of his freshman season for the first game of the NCAA tournament, connecting on five triples en route to a season-high 24 points. It was the third time this season Petty has totaled at least 20 points, though it was his first such performance in over two months. The freshman guard has now reached double figures in five of seven games since the loss of JT Topping, averaging 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists while connecting on 46.8-percent of his shots from long range during that stretch. A similar performance to Friday would go a long way in helping Texas Tech advance to their second-consecutive Sweet Sixteen.
