Impact Calderon missed Kansas' opener in the NCAA Tournament, but he'll be an option for Sunday's contest against St. John's. It remains to be seen whether he'll see meaningful minutes, though. After all, Calderon has had a minor role in 2025-26 with 4.1 minutes per game across his 16 appearances.

Impact Peterson drained four from downtown and tallied 28 points to lead the Jayhawks as they held off a furious rally by the Lancers. Peterson was the clear alpha on Friday for Kansas, more than doubling the team's next highest scorer, though it wasn't his most efficient performance as he took a season-high 24 shots during the win. The highly-touted freshman has topped 20 points in four of his last six games and is averaging 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals during that stretch.
