Impact In a game in which Tennessee had little to celebrate, Gillespie set the school's single-season steal record with 79 to pass LaMarcus Golden's 1993-94 season. The guard kept the score close in the early going with a pair of beautiful thefts. The senior guard led the Volunteers with 21.8 points on 43.2 percent from the field in the NCAA Tournament. It will be interesting to see if he gets any play in the 2026 NBA draft.

Impact Ament fouled out for the first time this season. The 6-10 freshman just couldn't find his spots against the tough Wolverine defense. In four NCAA Tournament games, the forward averaged 10.3 points on 33.3 percent from the field and 4.3 rebounds. Those numbers were well below his season averages of 17.0 points on 40.5 percent from the field and 6.4 rebounds. Should he test the NBA draft process, Ament will likely be a lottery pick.

Impact Ament has not fouled out of a game this season, but had to sit a large portion of the second half after accruing his fourth foul. Despite limited minutes, the 6-10 freshman had an effective game. Against Michigan on Sunday, he will likely be matched up against Yaxel Lendeborg who is of similar size but much stronger. Ament can prove he is ready for the next level by being effective against the huge Wolverines.

Okpara will need to particularly effective for the sixth-seeded Volunteers to make it to the Final Four.
