Watch Chicharito's hat trick, capped by a stoppage-time winner

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez was ready to show that last season's 26-goal campaign was no fluke, that he was ready to be one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga and do it year-in, year-out. But a nasty hand injury kept him out at the start of the season and put him on the back foot, which left him some catching up to do.

He sure did the catching up against Mainz on Saturday.

Those weren't Chicharito's first goals of the season. He scored a week ago, but he wasn't the Bayer Leverkusen hero. That's because he smashed a late penalty off the post as Bayer dropped all three points in a 2-1 loss.

Chicharito made sure he would be the hero this time around, though. He came through one more time, in stoppage time to boot.

A hat trick, with the capper in stoppage time to win the match? It's safe to say that Chicharito is back and he's ready to make a run at topping his 26-goal performance from a season ago.
