Tom Coughlin on David Wilson: 'He's a marked man'
By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com
Tom Coughlin has just about had it with questions about his second-year running back David Wilson.
Wilson, who had two fumbles in the Giants' 36-31 loss againt the Cowboys Sunday, has received plenty of criticism and it's clearly evident that Coughlin is irked as he wouldn't commit to him as the starting running back.
"We'll see," Coughlin said Wednesday. "We need him. He has to overcome this issue. He's a marked man."
Following Tuesday's news that the Giants signed free agent running back Brandon Jacobs to a one-year deal, it's likely that Wilson has his workload reduced but by how much is the question. Backup running back Da'Rel Scott also had trouble holding onto the football and Jacobs will need some time to get up to game speed.
For now, coach Coughlin would really appreciate it if local reporters took a wait-and-see approach
