CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Carolina Panthers backup running back Fozzy Whittaker is active for Sunday's NFC championship game after missing the last two games with a sprained ankle.

Whittaker will get a jersey instead of rookie running back Cameron Artis-Payne.

Artis-Payne is inactive, along with wide receivers Brenton Bersin and Kevin Norwood, cornerback Lou Young, safety Dean Marlowe and running back Brandon Wegher. Defensive end Jared Allen was ruled out on Friday with a broken bone in his right foot.

Arizona's inactive list includes quarterback Matt Barkley, cornerback Corey White, running back Kerwynn Williams, linebackers Shaq Riddick and Jason Babin, offensive tackle D.J. Humphries and nose tackle Xavier Williams.
