Raiders waive linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong

Published Nov. 24, 2015 7:55 p.m. ET

Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong wasn't found guilty of taunting a police dog two weeks ago.

But the team found him guilty of too many poor plays. So Armstrong is no longer a Raider.

Oakland's defense won't likely suffer without him. Armstrong hasn't started a game since Week 2, despite appearances in 10 games.

They'll likely slide promising rookie Ben Heeney (sevan tackles, sack last Sunday vs. Lions) into whatever role Armstrong vacated.
