Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz still battling groin injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) There seems to be growing concern about the status of oft-injured New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

The 29-year-old, who missed all of last season with a calf injury and has played in just six games over the past two, missed practice Monday because of groin injury.

Cruz sustained the injury last week and did not play in the preseason opener on Friday. He took part in individual drills on Sunday and watched practice on Monday.

The Giants have off Tuesday and McAdoo said it was too early to say whether Cruz would be ready for Saturday's game in Buffalo against the Bills.

Cruz was not available for comment on Monday.
