NFL players share thoughts on Twitter after Hernandez verdict
Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on Wednesday was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. Several NFL players, both current and former, ex-college teammates of Hernandez at Florida and others in the sports world took to social media to share their thoughts after the verdict was read.
Here are some of them.
There were a lot of short, visceral reactions:
Some players went a little deeper:
Even NBA player Jared Dudley was surprised:
Tight end Tom Crabtree pointed out the incredible proximity of Hernandez's prison to Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots:

Former Denver Broncos running back Maurice Clarett -- who has spent time in prison -- also shared his perspective:
Hernandez is also facing murder charges in another still-to-come trial, and some believe the evidence is stacked against him there.
