Tim Tebow still hasn't gotten a hit in the Arizona Fall League

The most famous quarterback turned instructional league player in baseball history is off to a slow start to his career, a start that is getting embarrassingly worse by the day.

After four games in the Arizona Fall League, Tim Tebow is still hitless -- he is 0-for-12 at the plate.

That 0-for-12 clip comes after Tebow went 0-for-3 on Monday night, following his return from his broadcasting responsibilities with ESPN over the weekend. He did, however, nearly collect his first hit in the AFL, before a slow roller down the first-base line went foul.

It seems kind of cruel to constantly bring up Tebow's struggles, but he has brought on a lot of the backlash himself. In addition to the idea that he would pick up baseball after not playing since his junior year of high school, he didn't make any friends when he refused to give up his broadcasting responsibilities while pursuing the sport.

As we told you on Saturday, the backlash has continued to come in fast and furious. Here are a few quotes from scouts about Tebow's performance so far, via the New York Daily News:

* “It’s what they signed up for. Nobody is surprised by this, are they? Come on, it’s been, um, interesting.”

* “He ran into [the outfield wall] like Bugs Bunny would have. I haven’t seen that before.”

* “It’s as if he hasn’t played the game in a decade. Oh wait, he hasn’t.”

* “He runs bad routes, has slow jumps and well below average arm strength.”

Furthermore, ESPN's Keith Law wrote a scathing report on Tebow over the weekend, which included this excerpt (and which the guys on "Undisputed" discussed in the video above):

“Tim Tebow is in the Arizona Fall League. He might be better suited to playing in an Arizona high school league. His presence here is a farce, and he looks like an imposter pretending to have talent he does not possess.”

Safe to say, things aren't off to the best start for Tebow in his new sport.
