ST. LOUIS – The Cardinals will be without third baseman Jedd Gyorko for a little while after he was placed on the 10-day disabled listed with a right hamstring strain. First baseman Luke Voit was recalled from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move.

Gyorko left Saturday's game in the eighth inning after rounding third base, abruptly pulling up and heading back to the bag. Gyorko is batting .272 with 18 home runs and a team-leading 64 RBI this season.
Voit has played in 43 Major League games earlier this season, batting .253 with three home runs and 13 RBI. He was recently optioned on August 21.
