Report: Randolph to ink 4-year extension

Published Apr. 18, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph was set Monday to sign a four-year, $66 million contract extension, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported.

Randolph showed his value Sunday, leading the eighth-placed Grizzlies with 25 points in the 101-98 upset of the Western Conference's top-seeded San Antonio Spurs.

The 29-year-old, who also delivered 14 rebounds and three assists in the shock Game 1 triumph, was expected to sign his bumper new deal Monday or Tuesday. Two sources said the extension offered an additional $5 million in incentives.

An official announcement was expected before Wednesday's Game 2 at AT&T Center.

Randolph, who joined the Grizzlies in 2009, would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 before the deal was provisionally agreed Saturday night.
