NBA players react to Draymond Green's Game 5 suspension

Published Jun. 12, 2016 3:10 p.m. ET

The NBA announced Sunday that Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green will be suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals for an accumulation of flagrant fouls. The NBA assessed Green a flagrant 1 foul for his shot to the groin of LeBron James (who was assessed a technical foul). Green and James were called for regular fouls during the game.

This isn't the first time Green's appeared to deliver a low blow to an opponent. Green controversially avoided a suspension in the Western Conference Finals after he kicked Oklahoma City's Steven Adams in the groin.

James said after the game that he was disappointed with what Green said to him on the court, and that "some of the words that came out of his mouth were a little bit overboard." Klay Thompson defended Green Sunday and said that LeBron shouldn't have taken the trash talk personally.

NBA players from across the league had varied reactions to the NBA's ruling, which will have a huge impact on Game 5 in Oakland.
