Heat have Dampier active for Game 1

Heat center Erick Dampier is active for Game 1 of the NBA finals against one of his former teams, the Dallas Mavericks.

Dampier has not been in Miami's 12-man lineup at any previous point in this season's playoffs, despite being a starter at times for the team. He was with Dallas in 2006 when the Mavericks lost the finals to Miami in six games.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Dexter Pittman and Jamaal Magloire were Miami's inactives Tuesday night.

Dallas went with its usual lineup, keeping Caron Butler, Rodrigue Beaubois and Dominique Jones on the inactive list.
