Blazers' Lillard posts emotional response to All-Star snub

Portland coach Terry Stotts was not pleased commissioner Adam Silver on Friday selected Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins instead of Damian Lillard to replace injured Lakers star Kobe Bryant on the Western Conference All-Star team.

"I don't understand why or how he was not voted to the team to begin with," Stotts said. "I don't understand why or how he wasn't named a replacement."

Lillard made only 6 of 20 shots from the field in a loss to the Hawks on Friday night, including only one of nine 3-pointers, but insisted he wasn't pressing over the All-Star snub.

"I didn't want to go out of my way to try to prove a point," Lillard said. "I just tried to do what I always do to try to give our team a chance to win."

Lillard let off some steam on Instagram on Friday, but later deleted the post.

However, it was shared on Twitter and other social media, where Lillard says he's "not the first or last guy to be snubbed" and will clearly use it as motivation going forward:
