Boston Bruins center David Krejci will be sidelined 4-6 weeks because of a partially torn MCL in his left knee, according to reports.

Krejci was injured in the Bruins’ loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday.

The 28-year-old assistant captain has seven goals and 19 assists in 38 games this season. He missed time earlier this season with a groin injury.

The Bruins (29-21-9) are three points ahead of the Florida Panthers for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
