Coach Alain Nasreddine indicated Friday that Blackwood (upper body) has been cleared ahead of Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

    Impact

Nasreddinewas unwilling to divulge who would start between the pipes, so those awaiting that news in regards to Blackwood, Louis Domingue (lower body) or Cory Schneider may have to wait until Saturday. Regardless of Saturday's starter, Blackwood should retake the primary goaltending duties for New Jersey moving forward.

Coach Alain Nasreddine relayed that there's a "slight chance" that Blackwood (upper body) joins the team on its three-game road trip, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

    Impact

The Devils head into the All-Star break with three straight road battles, stopping in Toronto, Washington and Columbus, respectively. Blackwood won't be available Tuesday versus the Maple Leafs, as Louis Domingue will be the starter. Cory Schneider has been recalled from minors to possibly garner a start on the trip as well.

    News

Blackwood (upper body) will miss Saturday's game against Washington.

    Impact

Blackwood had to get dental work done after Tuesday's loss against the Islanders, then got pulled in the second period of Thursday's loss to the Rangers, so New Jersey will give its young netminder a day off to heal up and clear his head. The team recalled Evan Cormier from AHL Binghamton to back up Louis Domingue. New Jersey goes right back out there Sunday against the Lightning, and Blackwood's status for that one is currently unknown.

    News

Blackwood allowed five goals on 25 shots before being pulled in the second period of Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers.

    Impact

Blackwood will be seeing Tony DeAngelo in his nightmares, as DeAngelo produced three goals and two assists during Blackwood's time in the game, playing a part in all five goals against the youngster. With no wins and 13 goals allowed in his past three starts, Blackwood has come crashing down to earth following a 4-0-1 stretch.
