Main event set but two fighters miss weight at UFC Fight Night in London

The main event between Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson is set but two fighters failed to make weight ahead of UFC Fight Night in London although both bouts involving those competitors will move forward on Saturday's card.

Marlon Vera, who accepted an extremely late notice fight with Brad Pickett, informed his opponent overnight that he would be unable to make it down to 135 pounds for their bantamweight matchup.

Pickett accepted the fight at a 140-pound catch weight and ultimately hit the scale at 139 pounds while Vera came in at 140 pounds on the mark. Vera stepped in just a week ago to give Pickett an opponent in what is his retirement fight as he calls it a career after Saturday night is finished.

Fellow bantamweight Ian Entwistle was the other fighter who failed to make weight on Friday coming in at 139 pounds for his fight against Welsh competitor Brett Johns.

Johns came in at 136 pounds but accepted the fight with Entwistle agreeing to give up 20-percent of his purse to his opponent as a penalty.

As far as the main event goes, both Manuwa and Anderson made weight without issue.

Both fighters came in at 205 pounds as Manuwa looks to get a win in his hometown while Anderson tries to play the spoiler with each of them inching closer towards title contention with a win.
