Yair Rodriguez earns split decision at UFC Fight Night in Salt Lake City

Yair Rodriguez put on an absolute show for the fans in Salt Lake City as he defeated Alex Caceres by split decision in the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday night.

Rodriguez scored early and often with an array of spinning kicks and punches that overwhelmed Caceres for the first 10 minutes of the fight. Caceres rallied in the third round and really found his range in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough as Rodriguez was able to keep his torrid pace through all five rounds and finished the fight strong.

In the co-main event, featherweight Dennis Bermudez scored a hard-fought decision over Rony Jason, while Thales Leites and Santiago Ponzibbio put on strong performances in their respective main card fights.
