Coyotes' co-owner: Others are envious of what team has recruited

Arizona Coyotes co-owner Anthony LeBlanc was quick to acknowledge that his team struggled mightily last season, but believes a quick turnaround is not only possible - but probable.

"We were terrible last year. We know that," LeBlanc told Josh Cooper of Yahoo! Sports. "We're going to be a lot better this year, but look at the prospect group coming up.

"I mean, I talked to other presidents and CEOs in the league. They are so envious of what we’ve been able to recruit. Max Domi, Anthony Duclair. Christian Dvorak (and) getting Dylan Strome. This is going to be an exciting hockey team."

The third overall selection in the 2015 draft, Strome could have a strong say in helping Arizona head in that direction. The 18-year-old center scored 45 goals and set up an Ontario Hockey League-best 84 others in 68 games with the Erie Otters last season.

The Coyotes (24-50-8) have nowhere to go but up after posting the worst record in the Western Conference and an 11-25-5 mark at Gila River Arena. Arizona yielded 267 goals, good enough for third-worst in the league.
