Darren Sproles made history against the Dallas Cowboys

Darren Sproles is pretty good at football and made a little history against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night.

The Philadelphia Eagles may have lost to the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night, but not everything was bad for the team.

Darren Sproles, the team’s electrifying jack-of-all-trades running back, surpassed Hall of Famer and former teammate LaDainian Tomlinson for eighth all-time in career all-purpose yards.

Sproles now has nearly 18,500 all-purpose yards since entering the league in 2005. The only players ahead of him on the list are Steve Smith, Marshall Faulk, Tim Brown, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Brian Mitchell and Jerry Rice.

That’s Hall of Fame company.

Currently playing in his third season with the Eagles, Sproles has swiftly become a fan favorite for his shifty, yet hard-nosed running style, despite only being 5’6″. Sproles has been voted to play in the Pro Bowl each year since joining the Eagles in 2014 and there is no reason to believe that won’t continue this season.
