Vegas Golden Knights Sign Third Player in Franchise History

The Vegas Golden Knights have Officially Signed Their Third Player with European Forward Tomas Hyka.

Thursday evening it was announced that the Vegas Golden Knights have officially signed their third player in franchise history. The player in question is right winger Tomas Hyka from the Czech Republic. The deal is a standard two-year entry level deal that is waivers exempt, meaning if need be Hyka can always be sent down to Chicago of the AHL.

    Hyka is 24 years old and has spent the last three years in his home country playing for BK Mlada Boleslav where he's tallied up 58 points in 117 games stretched through the three seasons. He also played two years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the CHL for Gatineau registering 118 points in 99 games.

    He's still a rather small guy at only 5'11" and 170 pounds, but he does have the experience playing with grown men in the Czech Elite League as well as international tournaments. Hyka was originally drafted 171st overall in the sixth round of the 2012 draft by Los Angeles but after going unsigned he became a free agent in 2015, and after two years has found a new home in Vegas.

    How the rest of the team will shape out is yet to be seen, but we'll know after the June 21st expansion draft where Vegas has the rights to select one player from the other 30 NHL teams.
