After undergoing two knee surgeries in six months, rookie running back Trent Richardson will start for the Browns, according to an NFL.com report.

PAIN TRAIN

Injuries are a part of football, but these players have been hit particularly hard.

Richardson underwent a minor procedure on his left knee on Aug. 9.

Richardson, who has not participated in any preseason action, will make his NFL debut against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Browns traded up in April’s NFL Draft and spent a No. 3 overall pick to get the running back from Alabama.
