Texas Motor Speedway salutes Tony Stewart on 'Big Hoss' TV
So this is pretty cool: Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 will be three-time NASCAR Premier Series champion Tony Stewart’s 28th and final race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Stewart has two poles, two victories and six top-five finishes at the 1.5-mile Texas, but what he’s done off the track is even more noteworthy.
The annual Tony Stewart Smoke Show event at TMS has raised more than $1 million for charities to benefit children in need, which is a very worthwhile cause indeed.
As a way of saying thank you to Stewart for all he’s done on and off the track, TMS officials have kept the Big Hoss video screen lit up with Stewart’s number. Nice to see the respect paid for Stewart’s charitable efforts.
This Facebook post from track President Eddie Gossage says it all. Also, check out the four collectible programs that will be given to fans in attendance at the track.
