Riley Herbst earned his first career ARCA Racing Series victory Friday evening in the General Tire 200 at Pocono Raceway.

Herbst took the lead away from NASCAR XFINITY Series regular Brandon Jones early on in the 80-lap event and never looked back in the No. 18 Toyota Camry, leading 45 total laps.

"Talk about a long time coming for this team," Herbst said. "I was praying for that white flag on like Lap 4, and it finally came out and we got it done. We're going to go to Michigan and try to park this thing in Victory Lane again."

It wasn't an easy drive for Herbst and Jones, though, as both drivers had to save fuel in order to make it the full distance.

Michael Self, Zane Smith and Gus Dean rounded out the top five finishers.

The 18-year-old has now earned three top fives and four top-10 finishes so far during the 2017 ARCA season.
