McCray scores 28 as Jacksonville holds off Queens University 79-77
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Robert McCray scored 28 points as Jacksonville beat Queens University 79-77 on Thursday night.
McCray shot 8 for 13 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 11 of 14 from the free throw line for the Dolphins (10-8, 1-3 Atlantic Sun Conference). Gyasi Powell scored 19 points, shooting 4 for 8 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 8 of 12 from the free throw line. Powell made five free throws in the final 39 seconds. Marcus Niblack had 11 rebounds to go with eight points.
Deyton Albury finished with 23 points and five steals for the Royals (7-12, 1-3). AJ McKee added 21 points, seven rebounds and four steals for Queens. In addition, Chris Ashby finished with 11 points and two steals.
