David Savard out six to eight weeks due to injury | Montréal Canadiens The Habs defenseman suffered a fracture to his left hand

Dealing with broken hand Savard will be out 6-8 weeks with a broken left hand.

Impact Savard is set for a long-term absence after sustaining the injury Monday versus the Sabres. The 33-year-old blueliner will likely be out until early December at the earliest. Gustav Lindstrom was called up to take Savard's roster spot earlier Tuesday, though Kaiden Guhle (upper body) may take over that position once he shakes off his injury.
