College Football Playoff Predictions: How Far Does Michigan Fall?

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

College football is as entertaining as ever, and now the college football playoffs committee has the daunting task of picking the top four teams in the country

I believe it is fair to say there is a consensus between the NFL Mocks staff regarding tonights’ college football playoff rankings. An undefeated Alabama may be the only sure thing this week, but it seems Ohio State, despite not being in the conference championship, will remain in contention with only one loss.

With Penn State and Wisconsin both winning, you can not “punish” either by moving one down or past another. If we were to look past the top six, Penn State would most-likely be the seventh ranked team in the polls.

      Eric Robinson

        Shawn Spencer

Michigan should not feel an extreme drop-off following a 2OT loss to the Buckeyes on the road. However, placing them outside the top four makes sense after Washington knocked off a ranked rival Washington State.
