Miller Park will have new wrinkles in 2013

MILWAUKEE — While the bone-chilling cold wind made it hard to believe Opening Day is less than two weeks away, the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday unveiled a few changes to Miller Park when fans come through the gates April 1.
On the club level, the SKYY Lounge – formerly known as the Home Plate Lounge – has been upgraded. Located on the concourse of the club level behind home plate, the SKYY Lounge was built by removing a concession stand, storage area and restroom and now features a chef’s table counter and modern upgrades to the furniture.
New menu items in the SKYY Lounge will include Panini sandwiches, beef brisket and sliced turkey sandwiches, mini hamburger sliders, mini hot dogs and other gourmet items.
The Brewers also renovated the Dew Deck in the right field corner of the stadium. The highlight of the renovations is the 26-foot tall rock climbing wall in the shape of a Mountain Dew can. The wall will be operated by Adventure Rock out of Pewaukee, Wis., and will be open for three hours on each game day for those who reserve the Dew Deck. Fans wanting to climb the wall will be required to sign a waiver before doing so.
The area also has new televisions, new lighting and new furniture and is available to rent for groups of 25 to 260 people.
New to Miller Park for the 2013 season is the Miller Lite Party Deck. Making great use of a previously vacant space, the new deck is above the right field Loge Level bleachers and has a seating capacity of up to 70 people for groups on selected home dates. The deck has 1,400 square feet of space, including a bar, buffet line and two levels of seating for fans.
