Thanks to mike trout and the rest of the American League all stars that signed my glove.— Jerome Williams (@pinkpuka57) July 19, 2013
Williams, who uses a pink glove on the mound to honor his late mom Deborah, gave Trout a different glove to get signed. Williams' mother had a five-year battle with breast cancer and passed away in 2001.
The reliever said via Instagram that the signed glove will be used in a breast cancer research auction.
Trout is happy he could help his teammate and support a good cause.
"It means a lot," Trout said. "He's a great guy and I'm just trying to be a great teammate. If people ask me to do something I'm going to do it."
