Kings forward Marian Gaborik out with injury

Kings forward Marian Gaborik made the most of his just over three and half minutes on the ice Friday against the Rangers.

Picking up a goal midway through the first period, moments later Gaborik sustained an injury following a knee-to-knee collision with New York's Dominick Moore and did not return during the remainder of the OT win by the Kings.

As a result, the team has announced today that Gaborik is being placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.

Per usual in the NHL, the full nature of the injury is being kept under wraps but with Gaborik headed back to LA and the team currently on a 7-game road trip, it's likely the forward will be away for an extended period of time.
