Carter accounts for 3 TDs; NC A&T beats Delaware State 27-6

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Kylil Carter threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, and North Carolina A&T beat Delaware State 27-6 to clinch a share of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title on Saturday.

North Carolina A&T (9-1, 7-0) shared the conference title with four teams last season, and ends its regular season at home against North Carolina Central (7-3, 6-1) next Saturday. The Aggies finished with an undefeated conference record once, in 1999.

Tarik Cohen ran for 132 yards and has 3,624 career rushing yards, breaking Mike Mayhew's school-record of 3,521 yards set in 2012. Tony McRae scored on a 75-yard kickoff return for the Aggies.

Brycen Alleyne ran for a 4-yard touchdown to pull Delaware State (0-10, 0-7) to 13-6. McRae scored on the ensuing kickoff, and on the Aggies next series, Carter ran five times for 34 yards, capped by his 1-yard score with six minutes left.
