There was good news and bad news for the Browns Wednesday night.
The good news is the Browns had two players named in the top 20 of players for the 2014 NFL season via the NFL Network’s "The Top 100 Players of 2014."
The bad news is one of them will likely be suspended for part or all of the season and possibly beyond.
Josh Gordon, who went to his first Pro Bowl last season, was ranked No. 16 after having back-to-back 200 yard plus receiving games accounting for 498 yards in those two games last season.
"He’s 6-4, 225 (pounds) and can run a 4.3," Browns cornerback Joe Haden said. "He has humungous hands. His breakaway speed is something people don’t look at."

However, Gordon is still waiting to hear on an appeal on a reported failed test for a banned substance. If he loses the appeal, he could miss the entire 2014 season and would not be able to apply for re-instatement for at least a year.
In addition to Gordon, seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Thomas was ranked as the 18th best player in the NFL.
Thomas has been to the Pro Bowl after every season since he joined the Browns as the third overall pick in 2007.
"He’s the definition of a pro," Gordon said in the segment on NFL Network. "He does everything right."
Several weeks ago, Haden was ranked as the 39th best NFL player.
The episode Wednesday night listed numbers 11-20 in the countdown, which is scheduled to conclude next week.
