Rebekkah Brunson, Lindsay Whalen named WNBA All-Star reserves
JUL 23, 2013 6:30p ET
The conference's coaches voted in point guard Lindsay Whalen and power forward Rebekkah Brunson as reserves for this Saturday's All-Star clash. The two join fellow Lynx stars Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore, whom fans elected as starters.
The same foursome appeared in the 2011 game. There was no WNBA All-Star game a year ago due to the Olympic break.
Making her fourth All-Star appearance, Whalen is averaging 16.1 points and 5.3 assists per game -- fourth in the league. Brunson is the WNBA's No. 4 rebounder, averaging 9.2 boards and 10.6 points per game.
Minnesota coach Cheryl Reeve and her staff will coach the Western Conference squad, due to the Lynx's conference championship a year ago.
ABC will broadcast Saturday's All-Star Game at 2:30 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., home of the Connecticut Sun.
