Vikings reinstate special teams coach Priefer

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have reinstated special teams coach Mike Priefer after a two-game suspension for making anti-gay remarks.

The Vikings announced their decision Sunday night, a few hours after a 30-7 loss to the New England Patriots. Priefer was suspended after former punter Chris Kluwe accused him of making anti-gay remarks at the team's headquarters during the season.

An investigation found that Priefer did make some of the remarks that Kluwe accused him of making, and the Vikings responded by suspending him for three games and ordering him to take sensitivity training. The Vikings left open the possibility that the suspension would be reduced a game if Priefer met all of his requirements.

The Vikings say Priefer completed the training and is ready to rejoin the team.
