Free-agent NFL quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was arrested following a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly pulled a gun on his wife, according to an arrest report dated June 24 obtained by Chris Hush of WESH in Orlando.

Additional details included in the report allege that Jackson, 33, was intoxicated when he pointed the loaded weapon at his wife. Children were present but were in their beds at the time of the incident.

The Osceola County (Florida) Corrections website indicates Jackson was booked Friday and was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

Jackson has played nine NFL seasons. His first five were spent as quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, and the last four were with the Seattle Seahawks. He was a full-time starter only in 2007 with the Vikings and 2011 with the Seahawks. Jackson has been Russell Wilson's backup for the past three years and is currently without a contract.

"We really liked his contributions and he's been a big factor for us and we would like to have him back if we could,'' Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said in March (via the Seattle Times).
