Packers' Randall Cobb said he thought he had 'died' after punishing hit

Randall Cobb had a game-high nine catches for 108 receiving yards in the Green Bay Packers' 23-16 win over the Giants on Sunday night -- his first 100-yard game since Week 2 of last season. But what many will remember from his stellar performance was the scary hit he took from safety Landon Collins late in the game.

Cobb braced for the blow, which bent his neck awkwardly, leaving the veteran wideout on the ground for several moments. When he opened his eyes, he saw something he didn't expect to see.

"I laid there for a second. Then I turned over and, like, I had 15 faces in front of me. So I thought I had died or something," Cobb said, via Packers News on Monday. "They kind of scared me more than anything. Yeah, I took a shot, and it hurt, but whenever I saw everybody standing around me, I thought I had died. And then I felt, I saw I could move my fingers and my feet. So I knew it was all right."

Cobb walked off the field under his own power, was checked out on the sideline and actually returned to the game. He was scheduled to undergo more tests Monday.
