Jaguars sign running back Gray off Miami's practice squad

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed running back Jonas Gray off Miami's practice squad, a move that could mean starter T.J. Yeldon won't play Sunday because of a sprained left knee.

The Jaguars waived receiver Rashad Lawrence to make room for Gray, who also has spent time with Baltimore and New England. Gray has 120 carries for 534 yards and five touchdowns in 14 career games. He also has seven receptions for 79 yards.

Yeldon sprained a knee against Indianapolis and left the stadium on crutches. The team plans to provide an update on his status Wednesday. The Jaguars (5-8) host Atlanta (6-7) on Sunday.

Yeldon is Jacksonville's latest running back on the injury list. Toby Gerhart, Corey Grant and Bernard Pierce are on injured reserve.

If Yeldon doesn't play against the Falcons, Denard Robinson would start.
