Matthew Stafford has no plans to dance like Cam Newton

Matthew Stafford has heard all about Cam Newton's controversial touchdown celebrations, and the Detroit Lions quarterback has no plans to copy his contemporary from Carolina.

During a press conference on Monday, Stafford said he has no dance moves that he's willing to share with millions of fans, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Although the mood is light in Detroit after a big win over the Green Bay Packers on the road, Stafford would be lucky to find a reason to dance anytime soon. His team is one of the NFL's worst at 2-7, and his offense ranks 29th in the league with an average of 18.6 points per game. This Sunday, Stafford and the Lions will take on the Oakland Raiders, who are more dangerous than their 4-5 record leads one to believe.

Newton, on the other hand, is quarterbacking one of the NFL's two remaining undefeated teams. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes and run for six more this season, as his Panthers appear to be primed for a No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the NFC playoffs.

Stafford has the right idea: Until he's leading a winning football squad, he'll continue to leave the dance moves at home.
