Hand-tool maker GearWrench has signed a multi-year deal to be one of the primary sponsors of Jamie McMurray and the No. 1 Chip Ganassi Racing Team Chevrolet, the team announced Tuesday.

The announcement was made at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. The team did not specify the number of races the new deal applies to, noting only that GearWrench will be McMurray’s primary sponsor for “multiple races” next year.

“I’m excited to have our team be a part of this new partnership with GearWrench,” said McMurray in a statement released by the team. “It is always nice to have new brands join our team that have a direct application to what our team is doing in the shop. I know the crew in the shop and at the track will appreciate the professional tools that they offer to help get the job done.”

Next year will be McMurray’s 15th full-time season in the NASCAR Premier Series. In 507 career starts, the Joplin, Mo., native has seven victories, 57 top-five and 142 top-10 finishes. He has won the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400 and the Sprint All-Star Race.
