Records first save of seasonNeris was credited with the save after tossing a scoreless inning Sunday against the Braves. He walked two and struck out one.
ImpactNeris has made three appearances already this season and has yet to allow a run while fanning five. His two walks created a stressful situation, as the Braves were holding a one-run lead in the ninth, but the veteran right-hander eventually closed the door to earn his first save of the campaign.

Earns win against AtlantaAlvarado (1-0) tossed a scoreless inning and struck out two in Sunday's win against the Braves.
ImpactAlvarado tossed an eventful inning in his previous appearance -- he allowed three baserunners and fanned three of the six batters he faced -- but looked far more dominant this time around, tossing eight of his 10 pitches for strikes and making quick work of the Braves in the eighth inning. This was an encouraging outing for the talented but inconsistent lefty.

Fans eight in season debutEflin allowed a run on four hits and a walk while fanning eight across seven innings Sunday against the Braves. He didn't factor into the decision.
ImpactEflin left the game shortly after giving up a home run to Travis d'Arnaud in the seventh inning, but that was the only mistake he committed all game long -- the right-hander was dominant and opened the campaign with a quality start. Eflin posted career-best marks in both ERA (3.97) and WHIP (1.27) last season, and he appears to be carrying that momentum into 2021. His next scheduled start will come on the road against the Braves on April 10.
