Royals set Opening Day roster: Recall Moylan, put Soler on DL

Jorge Soler can come off the disabled list April 9.

The Kansas City Royals reached their 25-man Opening Day roster limit Sunday by placing outfielder Jorge Soler on the 10-day disabled list (left oblique strain) and selecting right-hander Peter Moylan from Triple-A Omaha.

Soler’s DL stint is retroactive to March 30, making him eligible to return April 9.

The club has also recalled infielder/outfielder Hunter Dozier from Omaha and placed him on the 60-day disabled list with a left oblique strain.
