A source told FOX Sports Hurd is transferring there with the expectation of playing wide receiver. The 21-year-old played for the Vols at 6-3 and 242, but still displayed some impressive athleticism, broad-jumping 10-2 and clocking a fast 4.02 in the pro agility run — which would’ve tied for seventh-fastest of all players at this winter’s NFL Combine (and he was about 40 pounds heavier than any of those guys who clocked a quicker time.)

Hurd, who left the UT team and requested a transfer late last October, caught 67 passes for six touchdowns in two and a half seasons with the Vols. He will sit out the 2017 season and have one season of eligibility in 2018 for the Bears.
