This Rangers goalie mask with Jeter and Sinatra is the most New York thing ever

The New York Rangers signed veteran goaltender Cedrick Desjardins in the offseason and so Desjardins went ahead and commissioned the most New York thing ever from goalie mask painter David Leroux: a mask with portraits of Derek Jeter and Frank Sinatra.

The mask includes signatures of both the recently retired shortstop and the "New York, New York" singer.

The Rangers waived Desjardins on Monday and assigned him to the Hartford Wolf Pack, New York’s AHL affiliate, where he’ll wear the mask.

Actually, hold up, let’s add another layer of New York. Here’s Jay-Z’s "Empire State of Mind" playing over some b-roll of the mask. That’s better.
