Cavs fans vote overwhelmingly in favor of LeBron bringing back chalk toss, get to join!

LeBron James asked the fans to decide whether they wanted to see the chalk-toss routine he began with the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2003, and his faithful responded with a near-unanimous "Yes".

James retired the ritual in 2011 and then brought it back with the Miami Heat in 2013. The Twitter ballot he posted Wednesday evening stayed open for less than 24 hours, and maybe it got stuffed by chalk manfuacturers, but so it goes.

Here’s the best part: It appears that the team will provide fans with their own personal chalk baggies to toss some dust in celebration at Quicken Loans Arena for the Cavaliers opener Thursday night against the New York Knicks. Take a look:

OPEN, GRAB, TOSS.

That’s about as simple as making a Hot Pocket.

Have fun, Cavs fans.
