WWE NXT results: Nov. 1, 2022 Pretty Deadly make Bron Breakker and Wes Lee the butt of their jokes The brash style of the NXT Tag Team Champions earned them a title showdown with the NXT Champion and the NXT North American Champion later in the night. Grayson Waller def. R-Truth by referee’s decision R-Truth was a few days off when he burst onto the NXT scene hoping to be a part of the Halloween Havoc festivities last week, but the surprise appearance resulted in a match with Grayson Waller. R-Truth had the NXT Performance Center jumping, but an awkward fall onto his knee outside the ring resulted in an injury that forced the match to be stopped. The injury didn’t stop the audacious Aussie from still gloating, as a hobbled R-Truth exited up the ramp. Kiana James def. Thea Hail Chase U appeared shaken before the showdown, but Duke Hudson stepped up to carry the flag for the esteemed institution of higher learning. As Thea Hail and Kiana James went back-and-forth, a DDT nearly put Hail away until Hudson placed her leg on the ropes which drew the ire of Andre Chase. With the student body divided, James didn’t waste the opportunity to dish out another 401K to keep her stock rising. After the match, Chase was trying to sort out the mess until Charlie Dempsey ran into the ring to blindside him until Hudson helped clear the ring for a teachable moment. Odyssey Jones def. Javier Bernal It felt so good to be back for Odyssey Jones, who returned to the ring for a matchup against Javier Bernal after missing nearly a year due to a knee injury. Big Body Javy appeared to have a brief opening in the match, but Jones responded with an impressive toss to put his strength on display. After some more punishing offense, Jones delivered an homage to The Bossman Slam with his punishing finishing maneuver to walk out of NXT with a coveted return win. Alba Fyre crashes Mandy Rose’s NXT Women’s Title anniversary celebration Indi Hartwell def. Zoey Stark Zoey Stark couldn’t keep a handle on her frustrations from the moment she walked in the Performance Center, and Indi Hartwell was happy to take advantage. A Stark Special moonsault nearly gave her the win and a bit of satisfaction after last week’s NXT Women’s Tag Team Title heartbreak. As Stark lined up the announce table for a vicious slam of Hartwell, Lyons tried to place her focus back on the ring and away from heinous retribution. The conversation failed to bring enlightenment, but rather a big boot and elbow combo from Hartwell that delivered another statement win. Cora Jade def. Valentina Feroz Before the match Veer officially closed the book on Sanga appearing in Valentina Feroz’s corner. Feroz would then go it alone, but Cora Jade had her own plans of stacking up another win in the Generation of Jade. As Jade took control, the violent Superstar crushed a Senton and followed with a DDT that was perfection personified for the no-nonsense victory. Jade set out for an exclamation point with a Kendo stick in hand, but Wendy Choo would rush in to chase off the would-be attack on Feroz. Pretty Deadly def. Bron Breakker & Wes Lee – NXT Tag Team Title Match Bron Breakker & Wes Lee made plans of leaving Tuesday night as double champions after Pretty Deadly tried to steal their spotlight earlier in the night. The NXT Champion dropped the jaws of the NXT Universe with an unreal lift of both members of Pretty Deadly above his head for a slam, but Carmelo Hayes came rushing in for an interference as the NXT North American Champion lined up a potential victory off the top rope. Wilson was quick to react for the roll-up win on Lee, as Von Wagner rolled in for the final message of the night with a massive boot to Breakker.
