'Let Shannon fly' takes on new meaning

During a recent slam-dunk contest in Latvia, the veteran guard took a nasty-looking spill.
Brown, whose benching last season inspired at least one U.S. Airways Center fan to holler “Let Shannon Fly!” at least 25 times in a single game, was attempting to soar over four lying-flat humans … three we can see in the video -- and the invisible guy Brown tripped over.
We’re hoping Shannon is fit and ready for training camp. We’re also hoping Goodwin's future basket-attacking decisions -- which can politely be described as "interesting" during his freshman season at Kentucky -- are a lot more prudent than this."
